We have been very active in Telecoms on the regional stage as among our clients is Kuwait’s, Jordan’s, Iraq’s and Sudan’s largest telecommunications operator. We advised that very client on a number of billion dollar plus acquisitions including on a $3.3 billion acquisition of a Pan-African telecom operator and on a $1.2 billion acquisition of Orascom telecom’s operation in Iraq. Among our earlier activities in this sector, we advised a consortium of investors on an attempted $500 million acquisition of 40% of the Jordanian Government owned telecom operator. In IT, we advised a silicon valley company in the first silicon valley foray into the Middle East in a multi-million dollar acquisition. In Media, our activities include advising a major European telecom and broadcasting company on the intended acquisition of a controlling interest in a GCC owned Jordanian company engaged in the satellite broadcasting business.
